Galaxy Buck: Mission to Sector 9 -- a show review and GIVEAWAY

I was given the chance to preview a new Buck Denver show (we love Buck Denver around here!) which releases October 20, 2015, and jumped at the chance for the boys to have a new show to try! Especially one with Christ-centered messages. The other Buck Denver shows (we have all of them) are Bible stories, walking you through what happened to give the watcher a better understanding of scripture. This one wasn't about a specific Bible story, but rather about teaching kids that "(God) doesn't want you to DO anything. He just wants you. He wants to be with you. He loves you. Not because you can do anything. He loves you because He made you." It's a very good message, but I'm not sure my kids were able to pick up on that. I asked my boys what it was about and they were only able to say that Buck goes to space and has a hard time getting home.

The premise of this show is that Buck is in a job he doesn't like, partially because he feels like he should be doing something bigger, better, more with his life, and so he finagles a way to go to space and there he meets a guy who changes how he views God. (And he meets some scary looking aliens.)

We watched it two different times over the past week (Chromecasted to the tv from my computer), and the reviews are mixed. My oldest is 5 and he really liked the show, though he can't exactly tell me what the moral/point/takeaway is. My middle son is 3 and he didn't care for it either time I showed it. There's a scene in the middle involving some aliens that even made me jump a little, and as I suspected, Middle said he didn't like it because "it's scary."
All the same characters are present in this one.
Having previewed it, this is not a Buck Denver dvd that I would buy. Not for several more years, at least because unlike the other ones (and the Christmas show), there is some scary scenes and the point is harder to grasp the way it's delivered. I think 5 would be on the young side for watching this. But, if you're interested in trying it for yourself, I do have access to a free copy to GIVEAWAY. Leave a comment and I'll pick a winner at random on October 29th. The winner will get a free copy of the DVD mailed to their home.

UPDATE October 30, 2015:
